Causes of insufficient processing hardness of plastic injection mold
plastic injection mold Heat treatment hardness is a very important mechanical property index, unqualified hardness is a very serious defect. Insufficient or uneven hardness of the mold after heat treatment will reduce the wear resistance and fatigue strength of the mold. Plastic mold processing manufacturers say that this will lead to early failure of the mold and seriously reduce the service life of the mold.
1) The mold section is large, and the steel hardenability is poor. For example, steel with low hardenability is selected for large molds.
2) Carbide segregation is serious or coarse in the original structure of the die steel, and there is graphite carbon and carbide segregation and aggregation in the steel.
3) The mold forging process is not correct, and good spheroidization annealing is not carried out after forging, resulting in poor spheroidization of the die steel.
4) The decarbonized layer generated when the surface of the plastic mold is not cleaned by annealing or quenching heating.
