What is the difference between rough cutting and fine cutting in precision CNC machined parts?

In the manufacturing process of CNC machined parts, the most commonly used processing methods are milling and turning. These two processing methods are collectively referred to as cutting. There are two types of cutting processing in CNC lathe processing plants, which are called "rough cutting" and "fine cutting". So, what is the specific difference between rough cutting and fine cutting?
After "rough cutting", the CNC machined workpiece is very close to the required shape and size, but there is still enough metal margin on the machined surface for finishing, so that the surface of the workpiece is smooth and the size is accurate.
Generally speaking, in the CNC machining process, steel bars, forgings, castings, etc. can achieve the required shape and size by only one rough cutting and one fine cutting. However, sometimes certain parts of mechanical parts may require more than one rough cutting. For some hardware parts processing, if the precision is not high or the amount of metal that needs to be removed is small, it may only need one fine cutting.
Rough cutting must remove most of the remaining material, and the cutting force must be quite large, which means that the entire machine, tool, workpiece, or all three must be able to withstand it. The purpose of rough cutting is to remove the remaining material as quickly as possible, and the remaining machining surface should not be too rough, and the slender workpiece cannot resist bending or damage the top.
Fine cutting is to make the surface of the workpiece smooth and accurate in size, so it is a finer cutting. Finishing emphasizes accuracy-using very sharp tools, less metal is removed, and high precision requirements for measurement.
Regardless of whether it is rough cutting or fine cutting, CNC machining workers must set the rough cutting and fine cutting steps according to the pre-established process, and adjust the machine tool. The size and shape of the workpiece, the type of material, the type of tool, and The nature of cutting. Then start to adjust the machine tool to the correct speed and feed rate, and adjust the tool to reach the required cutting depth.
